Flush Access Doors
Whether the installation specifies drywall, plaster, masonry, or tile, Karp offers a complete line of flush mounted access doors.
DSC-214M – Flush Access Door
The DSC-214M is for new installations or for remodeling. The exposed flange adds rigidity to the unit and perfectly conceals the rough wall opening. Flexible anchor straps can be provided for installation within masonry opening.
DSB-214SM – Surface Mounted Access Door
The DSB-214SM is a surface mounted door that does not require framing, bracing or notching and cutting of inner wall obstructions. Single piece construction of the frame prevents unit from racking and allows door to sit perfectly within frame and to open to 175 degrees.
MC – Steel Access Panel
The MC door is one of the more economical steel doors on the market. It is lightweight, easy to handle and a perfect for for new construction as well as for remodeling.
KDW – Flush Access Door for Drywall Surfaces
The KDW has a textured frame and bead so drywall joint compound can be applied in sufficient thickness to conceal the flange. The flange features pre-punched holes, which facilitate fastening the flange to framing members with drywall screws.
PF – Press Fit Drywall Access Panel
The Press-Fit door is lightweight door and installs easily by bending the tabs on the return back to grip the drywall. The frame, return, and doorstop are one-piece construction with a beveled frame resulting in an attractive finished look.
DSC-214PL – Flush Access Door for Plastered Surfaces
The DSC-214PL has an expansion casing bead with galvanized lath providing a tight protected finish between frame and plaster, while providing additional plaster reinforcement.
HA – Plastic Access Panel
The Handi-Access plastic door is suitable for all surfaces and can be installed by applying glue or caulking adhesive to the back of the frame and pressing into place.
Recessed Access Doors
Karp’s Recessed Access Doors are designed for flush installations when it is specified to conceal the door in walls or ceilings.
RDW – Recessed Access Door for Drywall Surfaces
The face of this door is recessed to receive a panel of drywall, providing a drywall finish on the door to match the surrounding texture of the wall. The door frame includes a drywall bead so that drywall cement can be applied to conceal flange.
RDWPD – Recessed Door with Factory Installed Drywall
The face of this door includes factory installed 1/2″ drywall to match the texture of the surrounding wall. The door frame can include a drywall bead so that drywall mud can be applied to conceal the flange. The RDWPD is a good solution when concealing the access door is required for aesthetic purposes.
DSC-210 – Recessed Access Door for Tile
The DSC-210 is designed so that all makes and types of tile thicknesses up to 1″ fit snugly into the recess of the panel. Karp’s concealed pivoting bar hinge operates completely out of sight so only the metal thickness of the door and frame is visible.
DSC-210PL – Recessed Access Door for Plastered Surfaces
The DSC-210PL is recessed 1/2″ and lined with self-furring metal lath, which allows plaster of surrounding surfaces to continue without interruption over the face of the door.
KATR – Recessed Fire Resistant Ceiling Door
The KATR is designed to provide access in a suspended drywall ceiling that is part of a fire rated floor-ceiling assembly. The combination of steel and double thickness of drywall maintains the fire resistive qualities of the floor-ceiling assembly.

KRP-150FR – Fire Rated Access Door for Walls and Ceilings
The KRP-150FR is flush mounted, with both anchor straps and mounting holes to facilitate installation. The KRP-150FR is insulated and rated by Underwriters Laboratories for 1.5 hour “B” label in walls and by Warnock Hersey for 3 hours in ceilings.
KRP-350FR – Fire Rated Access Door for Drywall Surfaces

Karp Security Access Doors are good solutions when you need to provide medium and high security to specific areas that must be accessed.
DSB-123SD-MS – Medium Security
The DSB-123SD-MS is ideal for medium security situations such as housing projects, hospitals, or in those instances where a more secure access door is required.

Karp offers several Specialty Access Products including sesame doors for drywall ceilings, duct doors, valve boxes, and an exterior door.
KSTDW – Sesame Drywall Ceiling Hatch
The KSTDW is designed for complete concealment in drywall ceilings. Door panel on the sesame doors will open to a check position for safety and then release for a 90 degree opening and is removable.
KSTE – Sesame Exposed Grid Ceiling Hatch
The KSTE is designed for use with concealed and exposed grid systems. Panel opens up to receive tile, and will open to a check position for safety and then release for a 90 degree opening and is removable.
KSTC – Sesame Concealed Grid Ceiling Hatch
The KSTC is designed for use with concealed and exposed grid systems, respectively. Panel opens up to receive tile, and will open to a check position for safety and then release for a 90-degree opening and is removable.
KHD – Hinge and CAM Latch Duct Door
Duct doors (KHD) are furnished with hinges and cam latch. Frames are easily attached to duct with notched knockover tabs.

KSMB – Surface Mounted Valve Box
Valve boxes can have louvers, peepholes, or glass panels, and can be drilled or punched for pipes or conduits of all sizes.
KRVB – Recessed Valve Box
Like the KSMB, these valve boxes can have louvers, peepholes, or glass panels and can be drilled or punched for pipes or conduits of all sizes.
MX – Exterior
The MX Insulated Exterior Access Door is engineered to withstand years of exposure to severe outdoor elements. This galvanized steel door comes with a galvanized hinge. The combination of these components with Karp’s electrostatic rust-inhibitive powder finish provides two durable protective layers. To further weatherproof the door, Karp arc-welds and grounds smooth the corners of the trim and pan, which with the addition of closed-cell neoprene gasket and a Lift & Turn Compression Latch, which ensures a watertight seal between the door and frame.
Floor Doors are suitable for interior and exterior applications, and are available to meet specifications for heavy weight loads. They can also be made watertight when required.
KAFA – Aluminum Floor Access Panel
The KAFA is available in a variety of panels – recessed 1/8″ for resilient tile, smooth, abrasive coated and embossed diamond pattern. The frames are easy to install and are sealed with a rubber cork strip.
KFD-SD – Hinged Floor Standard Duty Access Door
The KFD provides sturdy access in any concrete application and is a standard-duty access door. If necessary, the door can be made watertight. The door is spring assisted and equipped with a stainless steel snap lock.

Karp Roof Hatches are engineered for convenient and safe access to the roof of a building.
KRHG – Galvanized Roof Hatch and KRHA – Aluminum Roof Hatch
Karp’s roof hatches maintain heavy gauge stiffeners for added support and stability along with an increased gauge of aluminum for greater durability and strength. A push-button lock release is located on the front side of the cover, shielded from environmental elements to prevent water accumulation and leakage. The gaskets are wide and durable to maximize the door/curb seal and ensure a watertight closure. The edges are rounded safety, and the advanced assembly method allows for reduced welding blemishes. Roof hatches are available in galvanize model KHRG or aluminum model KHRA and are finished with EPA approved electrostatic paint.
